Climbing Mount Sneffels - September 2011

These cairns indicate the beginning of the Mount Sneffels scree field (behind the viewer in this image.)  Going down was nearly as hard as going up!  The ridgeline at the middle of the picture is the boundary between Yankee Boy Basin and the Blue Lakes Wilderness.  To get back to my car, I had to climb over that ridge again and back down into Blue Lakes basin.  I was worn out by the time I finished!<br />
